"important lessons:
Look carefully, record what you see./
Find a way to make beauty necessary;/
Find a way to make necessity beautiful."

-Anne Michaels, Fugitive Pieces.

The trees in our front yard make my heart so very glad.  If we find a different house live in this year, I think I will miss these trees, during these months, most.

  8. There is a dogwood outside the kitchen window in the house I lived in while Andrew and I were dating. It's the house of his brother's family. And so, still, I have the pleasure of seeing it every spring- with the blooms come such feelings of past and future and life and gratefulness. Stories from my mind that rest in it's blooms.
