/39 weeks pregnant and our christmas tree

I have never felt this patient, this okay to wait.  Unwrapping time, watching it, but with no urgency.  Every morning I wake with the strongest kind of peace in my heart I have ever felt.

adventus; advent :  Latin: "arrival" or "coming"

the time, it has come.

  19. "I have never felt this patient, this okay to wait. Unwrapping time, watching it, but with no urgency. Every morning I wake with the strongest kind of peace in my heart I have ever felt." this sounds like everyone growing up. yes, i have a lot of my childhood self still in me, but in certain senses, and this is one of them, i feel more patient, and i feel okay with it. i unwrap my gifts with a certain ease now. as though to preserve the wrapping paper or the envelope that was so carefully crafted. it's as though i'm tapping into life. as though life is a gift (which it is), a delicate gift that has the label "fragile" on the box, and through childhood, i tear into it with an excruciating amount of energy. and now that i'm older, now that i'm learning the importance of life, i ease into it. i mean, it's not like there's anything wrong with sprinting through life and thriving for adventure, but i like to savour life. to put myself and my soul into it, and for it to give of itself for me. of that makes any sense.

basically, i just adore this post. i'm so excited for your lovely baby :)
