he puts his shoes on by the front door. sticks the newspaper in his back jeans pocket. i am ever thankful for the ordinary. it is good to be home. we are relieved and happy, but also sad to say goodbye to a part of the world we both came to call home over the last three months.
i will miss savannah deeply and the ocean the very most.
