in the mail this summer we received the most beautiful little painting from chelsea. it was an surprise gift (which is the best kind).
now, on our living room wall, by the jar of pencils, we see it every day. it reads:
grow old with me
the best is yet to be
my parents had this saying tacked to our kitchen bulletin board when i was little. I remember looking at the words while I ate my spaghetti. i don't think i imagined growing old with anyone then.
